This program will offer insights and practices for care providers to cultivate their mindfulness practice in ways that improve patient care. By developing these heart practices, care providers will be able to cope more effectively with stress, and reduce emotional exhaustion and risk of professional burnout. Through the practices of compassion, love, joy and equanimity, care providers will strengthen their empathic responses as well as the ability to titrate their emotional response to their own suffering and that of their patients and colleagues, in turn improving patient care and overall communication.
Teachings are appropriate for health care professionals as well as the general public. Continuing Education (CE) credit available for in-person attendance only.
