Half Day Meditation in Nature
June 10 @ 8:30 am - 12:30 pm PDT |
June 10, 2017
8:30 am – 12:30 pm
South Marin Headlands, CA
This will be a beautiful morning of mindful walking and meditating in the beautiful hills of Marin, near the ocean. We will walk and meditate in silence and Mark will give some guidance about how to cultivate an embodied mindful awareness, becoming intimate with both the landscape and our heart’s relationship to the natural world. Mark will be drawing specifically on practices from his Awake in the Wild book that will guide participants to cultivate serenity, awe and love.
Sliding scale available – no one turned away for lack of funds
We’ll meet at 8:15 am at the Rodeo Beach main parking lot at the little picnic area just behind (east) of the bathrooms (away from the sea) that are next to the bathrooms / showers.
Please bring the usual things you’d need for a walk / time out in nature including:
Layered clothing – it may be cold, hot, windy, most likely all of the above!
Lunch, if you want to stick around afterwards to eat and talk
Something to sit on – like a sarong / small blanket / inflatable cushion
The morning will be divided between some gentle walking / sitting meditation and some guided nature based meditative practices. We will spend the whole morning in SILENCE, ending the silence when we come back to the meeting point. If you would like, bring your lunch and stick around afterward to eat and talk with the group.
