This online half day retreat led by Mark Coleman will explore how you can use contemplative practices to connect to nature, even while you are sheltering in place. You could be meditating in your garden, on your deck or in a safe space in nature (practicing social distancing). You can practice nature meditation anywhere, even at home while looking out a window at skies and clouds, or listening to birdsong.

As we practice alone, but together, we will explore potent nature practices that open the heart and mind to impermanence, interdependence, and letting go. And we discover how nature evokes peace and calm as well as beautiful qualities of joy, wonder, and love –  so essential in these during this pandemic.

The retreat will weave together periods of guided sitting and walking meditation and mindful movement.

This retreat will be held on Zoom. It may be easier to listen to the retreat as audio on your phone with headphones, which will allow you to be more outside in nature and attuned to nature rather than the device you are using.  Also, if you do not have a reliable internet connection, listening by phone may be your only option. However, you can also watch through video on your computer. If your internet extends a bit, you can be on your deck or perhaps in your garden. For those who do not have the option to be outdoors, we recommend that you set up in front of a window–preferably open–or even in front of a picture of your favorite spot in nature.

Once you have made your payment, you will be given the URL for the Zoom meeting. For those who register at least 24 hours before the workshop, you will also be sent a reminder with the Zoom meeting URL one hour before the start of the retreat.
