As the Buddha and countless Dharma practitioners have done before us, this unique program will be taught and practiced entirely outside. Over the six months we will explore Nature as Dharma – where teachings of awakening, wisdom and community are naturally revealed in the beauty and serenity of the natural world.

6 Fridays Apr 24, May 22, Jun 19, Jul 10, Aug 7, and Sep 4

Each month will be dedicated to studying and practicing with the Buddha’s liberating teachings. Topics to be contemplated are:

Month 1 – April 24
Dancing with Life – Impermanence, ephemerality, and cycles of birth and death

Month 2 – May 22
Everything Is Connected – Understanding dependent arising in the natural world

Month 3 – June 19
Being Nothing & Everything – Exploring Anata outdoors

Month 4 – July 10
We Are Kin – Interconnection & reciprocity with the more than human world

Month 5 – August 7
In Love with More than Human World – Cultivating Brahma Viharas in nature

Month 6 – September 4
Awake & Naturally Free – Discovering awareness & freedom everywhere

This will be offered primarily in person but can be also taken digitally via live-stream. The retreat will take place in the community meadow near the CMH

The course will take place over 6 months beginning April 24 and will consist of monthly day long retreats. There will be be a mid-month zoom check ins, which offers the opportunity to talk about and ask questions about the nature practices and readings.
